My science homework...
12. A septic system works by passing through a septic tank. A septic tank is an underground tank containing bacteria. Sludge must be cleaned out regularly, so it does not take up all the space in the tank. The rest of the water is filtered out.
Do I REALLY need to know this? I mean when I grow up I won't remember this. When I grow up I am planing to become an actress...~Maddy

I am Spoiled
If you were reading my blog in April, you heard me talking about a cruise that I went on. There is good news (well for me) I'm going on a cruise to Alaska in August. (I AM SO SPOILED, I KNOW!) But that's not the BEST part...I'm sharing a room with Amanda (who never writes, even though its the TWINS tell the truth), and my 2 cousins-7 and 11. (I AM SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOO SPOILED) Lets see this is my 7th or 8th cruise now...~Maddy (I KNOW I'M SPOILED)
Maybe I should change the name of this blog...The SPOILED twins tells the truth.
Sometimes I wonder if cats will have a evolution--like humans. I means Homo Habilis only used simple gestures to commuticate--which cats seem to have. I dunno--I just think thats a cool thing to think about...~Maddy

Calblog Wildlife Update
Our chicken eggs did not hatch, unfortunately. We're not sure why -- whether they died in the cool storage before the incubator came or whether we did something wrong in the incubator. We're going to try again after some discussion with the hatchery.
We got a squirrel-proof feeder. The perches are set so that when the squirrel lands on one, his weight closes the door. A squirrel discovered it and made it his project. At first, he tried the obvious way and quickly learned that, although he could get some spillage on the lower tray, he couldn't get most of the food. After much trial and error, he hung from the tree branch with his hind legs, held the feeder with his front legs, and could get as much as he wanted. So we moved it to the end of the branch and the theory that the thin end of the branch could not hold his weight. Our assumption was correct but he quickly knocked the feeder to the ground in his efforts. Then we got a length of rope and hung it from a strong branch so it was too long for him to hang and grab. So far, we are winning.

Ravenwood, predicts Los Angeles won't get our football team. Dubious (that is my all-time faavorite word)~Maddy
I've been watching the PGA golf. I'm rooting for the girl. I want her to prove to all the boys, that girls are just as good as boys. I espcially want her to prove it to Tiger Woods, who thinks the boys are better. Whatever.~Maddy

I’m sure people in California know of this, but it was about 100 degrees. I have math class right before lunch; sadly, the air thingie was broken, so I was lying with my head down, listening, of course. I was also sweating. ~Maddy

This should Teach Them...
Top Story: CHICAGO -- Police said a 17-year-old St. Louis girl died Saturday after she tried to slide down the railing of a staircase, lost her balance and fell inside Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.
This is why I never EVER slide on railings.Though, Amanda, my twin, did...~Maddy

Calpundit comments about sports:
(Quote) Is it really possible that the Angels and Mighty Ducks could win championships this year and the Lakers could lose? What the hell kind of world are we living in?
You forgot one thing...The Lakers will win.
In fact, Did anyone see the game today? I was at a restrurant at the end of it and when the Lakers scored everyone cheered~MAddy

My sister likes to watch a show on the Disney channel, Sister Sister. Its about twins, which is probably WHY she loves it. But I think it has such poor acting, I hate it.~Maddy
Something my friend was saying...
My friend, Emilie, was telling me something interesting, or at least I thought so. Her dad was traveling in a state that recently had an tornato. (Which state slips my mind.) Anyway the tornato was in seeing distance. In fact, he was at the airport at the time. Everyone had to stand in the center of the airport. THe tornato was on the edge of the runway. EMilie said it was strong enough to take down a plane!~Maddy
Calpundit answers my question:
Maddy: Why don't people put cats on leashes?
Calpundit:Oh, and cats on leashes? Cats are simply much too smart for this kind of nonsense, Maddy. It just wastes valuable time that could be used for sleeping.
I WILL GET MY CAT TO WALK ON THAT LEASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tell you~Maddy

I just don't get it...
Why don't people put cats on leashes? A couple (2 or 3, which is it, SO CONFUSING!) of years ago, I saw a lady walking her cat, ever since then, I of course wanted to walk MY cat, so a couple of days ago I got her a leash. sadly, she does not seem interested in walking with her mom and she does not like "I CAN'T RUN AWAY!" part. *Sigh* Life's Tough~Maddy
Is there anything more annoying than movie previews? In each preview it says stuff like "Best of the year..." A must see" You know stuff like that! I HATE IT! What's the point? All movies say that. ITS SO ANNOYING!~Maddy

What was Scott thinking? I mean, after killing his wife, Laci, and unborn son, Conner, he just goes down to San Diego, and when the cops find him says, "I didn't murder my family." YEAH RIGHT! Oh, I didn't murder my family I just came down here, dyed my hair, and had 10,000 dollors in my pocket to hide because I felt like it. GET REAL!~Amanda

Movie Review: The Lizzie Mcguire Movie.
Yesterday, I saw the movie THe LIzzie Mcguire Movie. THe movie is about a regular girl about 13 or 14 year old girl, she goes on a class trip to rome. When in Rome, she meets a famous singer. SHe decided to ditch her class and go off with him.It was pretty good: but there was a bad side: The main character, as I was saying, went off with a boy she barely knew. Yeah, sure he was famous, but don't you think that's alittle bad for girls my age to be watching? I happened to see it with my girl scout troop, who discussed how this was not ok.~Maddy
THE ONE DAY!
Of course, this weekend it just HAD to rain in california. So I couldn't go camping. :( But there is good news: The troop had a sleepover at someone's house instead. :)~Maddy
